COLORADO

Colorado CE Courses

We are proud to be certified for several CE Courses discussing various 1031 Exchange topics, available CO courses include:

  • 1-hour: An Overview of 1031 Exchanges
  • This course will provide an overall understanding of a 1031 exchange in relation to the Real Estate Industry. The course will educate on the purpose of a 1031 exchange, the history of 1031 exchange, the federal requirements when a seller is participating in a 1031 exchange, as well as when a buyer is participating, identifying other types of 1031 exchanges, understanding recent tax law changes and their effect on the 1031 exchange, and the Qualified Intermediaries role in a 1031 exchange.
  • 1-hour: Advanced Concepts of 1031 Exchanges
  • This course is a discussion of advanced 1031 exchange strategies, including refinancing, seller financing, as well as different types of more complex 1031 exchanges including: reverse exchanges, build-to-suit/improvement exchanges, and Specialty “Non-Safe Harbor” transactions. And then an overview of alternative investment strategies such as NNN, TIC, DST, and oil and gas royalty interests.
  • 1-hour: 1031 Exchanges for Land Transactions and Beyond
  • This course will provide an overall understanding of a 1031 exchange in relation to the Real Estate Industry with a specific focus on transaction involving land and other qualifying type of Real Property. The course will educate on the purpose of a 1031 exchange, the federal requirements for a valid 1031 exchange, as well as basic concepts of 1031 exchanges specific to land involving unique property types.
  • 1-hour: Reverse and Parking Exchanges
  • This course will provide an overall understanding of Reverse, or Parking, 1031 exchanges in relation to the Real Estate Industry. The course will educate on why they are called a "Parking" exchange, as well as the structure and mechanics of a Reverse or Improvement/Build-to-Suit Exchange, it will cover the purpose and reasons a Reverse Exchange may be needed, and discuss the lending requirements and process in relation to a Reverse Exchange and finally it explain the difference between "Safe Harbor" and "Non-Safe Harbor" in relation to a Reverse 1031 Exchange.
  • 2-hour: An Overview of 1031 Exchanges (extended)
  • This course will provide an overall understanding of a 1031 exchange in relation to the Real Estate Industry. The course will educate on the purpose of a 1031 exchange, the history of 1031 exchange, the federal requirements when a seller is participating in a 1031 exchange, as well as when a buyer is participating, identifying other types of 1031 exchanges, understanding recent tax law changes and their effect on the 1031 exchange, and the Qualified Intermediaries role in a 1031 exchange.

Accruit Continuing Education Policies

 

Mission Statement

Provide a thorough and accessible education for individuals, businesses, and real estate professionals on IRC Section 1031.

Refund Policy

All courses offered are provided at no cost to the attendees, unless required by state regulatory association. 

Student Material Required

Depending on the state and specific course offering courses are offered both as classroom and virtual classroom. For virtual classroom CE courses,  students must have a computer with access to the internet. Additionally, all virtual courses are hosted through Microsoft Teams, so students must be able to access the Microsoft Teams link provided for their specific course.

Student Completion Requirements

For all courses offered, students must meet the following criteria in order to receive credit for the course: complete the course registration form in its’ entirety; attend the full duration of the course from start to finish; participate in discussions and questions asked by instructor throughout the duration of the course; and when applicable complete a mastery-based final exam to measure understanding and comprehension of the materials within the course.

Testing Requirements, if applicable.

When applicable, students must complete a mastery-based 10 question final exam to ensure understanding and comprehension of the material taught within the course. Students must receive a 70% or higher on the exam to “Pass”.

Technical Assistance

All virtual courses are provided through Microsoft Teams, here is a link to their Support and FAQs section. Additionally, the instructor will be online and available for troubleshooting, 15 minutes prior to the start of each virtual course.
