It dives into the impact of depreciation recapture, capital gains, net investment income, and state level taxes on investment real estate, and how a properly Section 1031 exchange defers those taxes when the investors sells the old property to acquire a new one. It also includes a brief review of parking exchanges and alternative replacement property options.

Accruit Continuing Education Policies

 

Mission Statement

Provide a thorough and accessible education for individuals, businesses, and real estate professionals on IRC Section 1031.

Refund Policy

All courses offered are provided at no cost to the attendees, unless required by state regulatory association. 

Student Material Required

Depending on the state and specific course offering courses are offered both as classroom and virtual classroom. For virtual classroom CE courses,  students must have a computer with access to the internet. Additionally, all virtual courses are hosted through Microsoft Teams, so students must be able to access the Microsoft Teams link provided for their specific course.

Student Completion Requirements

For all courses offered, students must meet the following criteria in order to receive credit for the course: complete the course registration form in its’ entirety; attend the full duration of the course from start to finish; participate in discussions and questions asked by instructor throughout the duration of the course; and when applicable complete a mastery-based final exam to measure understanding and comprehension of the materials within the course.

Testing Requirements, if applicable.

When applicable, students must complete a mastery-based 10 question final exam to ensure understanding and comprehension of the material taught within the course. Students must receive a 70% or higher on the exam to “Pass”.

All virtual courses are provided through Microsoft Teams, here is a link to their Support and FAQs section. Additionally, the instructor will be online and available for troubleshooting, 15 minutes prior to the start of each virtual course.
